UPDATE: Tank’s surgery has been completed and he is now in recovery. He’s doing well and I’d love to thank everyone for their love and support throughout all this!

I rescued Tank at 6 months after the person who purchased him no longer could care for him after he was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Microphthalmia which has left him with slight visual impairments that will worsen overtime. In spite of what was and what could be, I was excited to take him home and shower him with the compassion and love he always deserved.

 On September 29, 2020, Tank had a severe limp and was taken to his Veterinarian Hospital in Tinton Falls, N.J. and his prognosis was severe. Tank needs a surgery called TPLO. I was informed of the high success rate of the surgery and was told it’s important that I get him the help he needs right away. I was also informed of the high cost of the surgery totaling approximately $6,000. To be able to come up with that amount of money in a short time is impossible, which brings me here.

On October 27th, Tank turned 3 and in spite of his constant pain, he continues to remain the most loyal, spoiled and happy dog he always was. He is in good spirits but it is me who is a wreck inside. I have been blessed to have him in my life and I only wish I could give him the immediate medical attention he needs and deserves to have. I hope coming to GoFundMe will help ease the burden and allow me to provide the care Tank needs faster than I would have been able to before.
