My cousin Trandan Lazard, his wife Jessica, Jessica’s mother Becky, their two sons Ryder and Archer and all of their pets fled their home in Paradise, CA  on 11/8/18 without time to gather their belongings. It took them hours to get out of Paradise as the roads were backed up with all the evacuees. Finally the family were able to get to our grandmother’s house in Durham California, seemly out of harm's way. Everyone was glued to the news as the fire spread across all of Paradise and into neighboring cities of Magalia and Durham. At this point, at our grandmother’s house in Durham, they again got an evacuation warning and had to get out of there for the second time that day. Thankfully the house in Durham was not damaged, and after spending the night in their cars, the family returned back to our grandmother’s house and are currently staying there. After days of worry and wondering they unfortunately found out that their home, and all of their belongings were destroyed in the fire. They now only have the few things they grabbed on the way out.


Friends and family have come together to help provide a place to stay, as well as a variety of supplies that the family needs. Any help at this point would be amazing and we would be forever grateful. The best way to assist would be to start generating funds so this family can get back on track, and once everything is settle get this family into a home of their own again and back to a sense of normalcy.
