Help Simon Get His Prosthesis

Donation protected
My Cause Hello Friends and Family from near and far. I'm reaching out because I've started a GoFundMe for my wonderful husband and stay at home dad, Simon Urbina III. As many of you may or may not know, he was hospitalized on Valentine's Day with severe leg pain and numbness. Little did we know that his life was about to change forever. The Back Story After many tests, we would find out that he had suffered a major heart attack which, instead of killing him, dislodged a blood clot in his heart. It traveled through his system and blocked a major artery in his right leg. Due to complications and unstable vitals, the doctors were unable to do emergency surgery until he was stabilized. We spent all night in the ER and was moved to ICU before they could do anything. Unfortunately, too much time had passed and it resulted in a leg amputation above the knee.  A few days after the surgery, they put a heart catheter in and found he haddamage to his heart as well as blockages. He had (2) Heart Stents put in and will now have to carry a stent card in his wallet for the rest of his life. The Costs and How You will Help Nobody likes to be in the hospital and everyone knows that the costs can be overwhelming. For a family without insurance, it is exceptionally difficult. Not only will we need to cover a 3 week hospital stay that includes the ER, ICU, Surgeons, Anesthesiologist, Cardiologist and many other charges, he is going to need long-term care. We were rushed out of the hospital so we had to purchase many of his immediate necessities on our own. I have applied for charity funding so that he can get into rehab, but I'm not sure if he has been accepted or not as of yet.   Additionally, he has been put on numerous medications that he will need for the rest of his life. In addition to his heart medication and blood thinners, he is a diabetic. His insulin alone is $465 for a three month supply so medications alone will definitely add up quickly. In 6 to 9 months from now, we are hoping to have his prosthesis. We are told that, although they have come a long way and development and function, they are quite costly, start around $5,000 and have to be replaced after about 5 years. The bills have now come in and I have began to call each one of them to set up payment plans. I have applied for charity funding to help cover some of the costs, but with just the hospital bill being $340,000 alone, we are going to need additional help. If you would like to bless our family in this time of need, here's how: Here's my GoFundMe link: gofundme.com/HelpSupportSimon If you could support my GoFundMe by making a donation and then sharing it with your network of family and friends, I would greatly appreciate it. I know that money can be tight, so please know that even $5 helps me get closer to my goal! Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them.  I will be sharing updates and photos along his journey as I am sure you all would love to see his progress.
