I had to make an update on here and keep the same account going because I’m back in the hospital. I came back March 27 because I had a headache for two weeks straight. I have a ventricle that has been leaking for who knows how long. In my uploaded images I posted a screenshot that explains what this kind of condition is. I have a tube coming out of the left side of my head right now to deal with the brain fluid leak. My pain is minimal, but I do have a lot of discomfort. Only physical pain I’ve really been dealing with is my herniated disc in my L5 from having to lay in a bed all the time. My leave date keeps getting pushed back because of the condition that I’m in. I think the doctors here at VCU are just trying to do their best to avoid invasive brain surgery. I should be able to find out tomorrow if I’m allowed to go home yet. But even after once, I’m home, this brain tumor story is not going to be over.

Back on June 3, 2025 it was discovered that I have a meningioma on my choroid plexus. This particular part of the brain is responsible for making and cleaning cerebral spinal fluid.

A month later, I had an x-ray done to see if the nerve pain in my leg was related to the tumor. I have a herniated disc in my lumbar region right above my sacrum that had degeneration too.

It has not been determined yet if my nerve pain is from one or the other.

I’m seeing a Neuro surgeon specialist at VCU on July 30 and I will have more answers for everybody then. Today I applied for Social Security benefits, and disability. I was contacted Tuesday the 15th that I have to wait on these benefits until I’m out of work or have to cut back my hours.

I’m a waitress so I’m on my feet a lot and I work 40 hours a week currently. My managers and boss have been super supportive of this whole thing and I appreciate them a lot. I need help as time gets closer for my biopsy and/or surgery.
