Hi, everyone, this is Mya
as many of you already know. Mya is a 9 year old Siberian Husky.
Mya has been sick for a little while now. She has had intermittent vomiting and decreased appetite. She had gone through many tests to figure out the cause. She has had x-rays, full blood work, stool analysis, pancreatitis tests, addison's testing, bile acids, ultrasounds and ultimately she had to endure an endoscopy.
Mya has cancer. The ultrasound revealed that there was cancer in her stomach and she has a large mass on her liver. The endoscopy took samples from her stomach and an aspirate on her liver (samples from the mass). We are still waiting on the results from the lab but the specialist stated that both areas are consistent with carcinoma.
Right now, we are changing her diet and searching for holistic means while we wait. Mya has a lot of options but, as we all know, treatment of any kind for cancer is expensive. We need your help to help save Mya!
The funds will be used for medications, remedies, diet, any other diagnostic test as well as chemotherapy. So far, we have spent about $3,000 on her veterinary bills and this is only the beginning.
Mya is a part of our family and it would mean everything to us if anyone could find it in their hearts to help us save our little girl. She has a lot of life left in her and we want to give her the best fighting chance we can! Anyone who has ever met her, has fallen in love with her! She's sweet and playful; she warms up your soul when she looks at you.
