Help Ross Fight Glioblastoma: Support for Our Family

Donation protected
If you know me, you know how much my dad, Ross, means to me. And if you know Ross, you know he’s one of the hardest-working, most selfless people out there.

In just three weeks, our world has been turned upside down. My dad has been diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma which is an aggressive, incurable, and terminal brain cancer. Just a month ago, he was dealing with a limp, something we thought was related to his physical work. But it turned out to be a tumor causing his symptoms.

After a debilitating seizure and a craniotomy to remove most of the tumor, our family is facing severe financial distress. Despite his lifelong dedication to providing for his four kids and maintaining our home, he is now struggling with basic daily activities and the looming costs of treatment.

We’re selling everything he loves and has worked hard to build—our camper, his motorcycle, and more—to make ends meet. He, who has always been the one to fix things and keep our lives running smoothly, is now unable to do so.

My Dad currently has complete paralysis in his right leg, which is going to severely impact his ability to work. He was employed as a New York State highway truck and plow driver, and this condition has forced him to stop working. In addition to this, he can no longer continue doing any side jobs as a carpet installer. Every day, he is fighting hard to regain mobility, but it's unlikely that he will be able to return to either of his occupations.

He’s never been one to ask for help, but as his daughter, I know we need support to keep our family afloat. We want him to focus on fighting this disease without the added stress of financial worries.

When facing a difficult situation like battling a serious illness, my dads focus should be directed toward staying physically and mentally strong, embracing every available treatment option, and surrounding himself with positivity. Being a father means showing strength for his family, but it's also about recognizing the importance of self-care during this time. Allowing others to step in can provide the emotional and physical strength needed to stay in the fight. The journey is difficult, but by concentrating on each step forward, my dad can face the challenge head-on and create hope for his future and his loved ones.

Funds raised will go directly to his upcoming chemotherapy and radiation treatments, necessary home adjustments, physical therapy, home care, and more. Anything you can contribute will be a tremendous help and is deeply appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support during this incredibly difficult time❤️.
