I am opening this Go Fund Me account for my mom, Olivia Ulloa. Many of you know her and know what a TOUGH, independent, loving, caring, Giving and great all around person she is, she didn't acquire the nickname "the Luchadora" for nothing LOL.  She'll probably kick my butt for doing this because she has too much pride to do it for herself. But the reality of it is, she NEEDS our help, now more than ever and it breaks my heart that I'm not in a position to do more for her on my own. I have seen her suffer over the last few years and it is heartbreaking. Words can not describe the frustration and anguish one feels when you watch your mom suffer and you're unable to do anything except sit back and watch as these diseases ravish her body. She has been diagnosed with several diseases and rarely ever complains, as we all know she always suffers in silence and toughs it out  and pretends she's fine. Her recent bout in the hospital left her having a double foot surgery, the right to clear out a recurring infection from a diabetic ulcer and her left one had her 4th toe amputated because it had become necrotic. Lately she’s been struggling with the painful illness Fibromyalgia, I wish this was the worst of the story, but yet it isn't.  She was diagnosed with Diabetes a few years ago and it has taken a tough toll on her poor body, yet again this isn't the end of the story. She was diagnosed with Glaucoma a few months ago and has undergone surgery to both eyes. She's slowly losing her sight and has great difficulty seeing, especially at night, and yet again that's not the last of it. Because of her diabetes she's developed Neuropathy to both feet and has severe Restless Leg Syndrome and both things cause her a great deal of pain and awful sensations to her legs and feet that often keep her up all night long.

All of these things might be enough to make a person go madd with frustration but my mom just silently deals with it and complains to noone. Many of us remember the tough Olivia that could take on the world and still come out standing. The Oli that was very athletic and played many sports throughout her life and well into adulthood played softball on her city and company teams. Sadly, that Oli is slowly fading, there are days she can barely walk, there are days she has to rock herself to sleep from the severe and consuming pain that ravages her body.

So here I am as her oldest kiddo reaching out to all of YOU, her friends and family, asking for help for my mom. She will be released from the hospital and will be needing care to help with her wound care and the IV meds she'll be going home with. Most of you don't know but my mom has been unable to work because of all these medical issues and we have been fighting to get her on disability but as most of us know that's a tough fight and often a long couple year battle. But yet she fights on...She doesn't qualify for medicare because she's not at that age or has any underage kids. So she's on a limited health plan thru UMC. It doesn't cover all her bills and so she's left with lingering bills and the cost of her meds and honestly her everyday living expenses at this point. So if ANY of you could help her by donating anything (small or large) you can afford we would be more than appreciative!! Words cannot express my gratitude in advance!!
