The school year at J. S. Morton East High School is almost over! Unfortunately, we, the students of Mrs. Sereceno, were informed of terrible news on Friday, April 28th.  She announced that her cancer, which she has been battling for almost 2 years, has returned, this time spreading to 3 different organs. "I don't know how much time I have left," were her words after explaining the news to my classmates and I. Many of us were brought to an emotional state as we gathered around our teacher with tears. At that point, I realized the immense dedication and strength that my psychology teacher carries within her heart. While battling cancer,  she has been teaching 3 AP classes, and a U.S History class, as well as being a mother of 3 children and a loving wife. I realized that she trully cares about her students' education and would love to see each and every one of them succeed. That is why I have put together this fundraiser. Before our last full day as seniors(May 18th) I would like to give our teacher the donations we have received as a great thank you for all she has done for her students. Also, please keep her and her family in your prayers as she walks through this difficult, but surely not impossible,  stage in her life. Thank you!!
