Help Megan fight brain cancer
Donation protected

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that Megan Firinaiu was recently diagnosed with level IV Glioblastoma and is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment. At the tender age of 25, this was the last thing she or anyone could ever have expected. She has spent her life going out of her way to help others (and their pets) and now it’s our turn to help her in her time of need.
If you have known Megan for any amount of time, whether in person or as Facebook friends, it’s easy to see her deep love and enthusiasm for all kinds of animals. While her passion is raising and showing standard poodles “Symplee Poodles”, she also rescues animals in need and volunteers her time at the local Senior Center.
Unfortunately, since she is self-employed (as an amazing and talented groomer) she is physically unable to work during treatment. As you can imagine it is causing a financial hardship in her ability to support herself and her beloved animal family.
She is a private person who takes a lot of pride in her independence, and for most of us asking for help is never easy. So I am asking on her behalf and I know that gathering around her when she needs us most will definitely alleviate her stress and most certainly aid in her healing. Let’s lavish her with our gifts and love!
How can you help? Any way you can. Any gift whether financial or in deed is greatly needed and deeply appreciated. If you can donate financially that is terrific, no dollar amount is too little! If you are unable to, that’s no problem there are other needs that you may be able to fulfill that are equally needed and appreciated.
For instance:
If you are a groomer, you may consider grooming one animal and donating the proceeds Megan.
Donate animal feed, a bale of hay or a bag of feed.
Volunteer to drive Megan to cancer treatments
Help clean the animal pens.
Cook her a meal.
You may think of something else that I haven’t. Bottom line is that every little bit helps and shows her that we are a community of loving and compassionate people who adore her and are standing beside her and fighting this battle together!
