I have been accepted to the University of South Carolina for Fall 2016 to continue my MFA studies in Poetry. 

Last semester, I found myself in an incredibly unsafe and unstable, anxiety-inducing environment. My future and livelihood were threatened, and I was forced to seek other options for my future. 

Because I was not able to continue my job over the summer, I am incredibly low on funds to complete the necessary move to Columbia, South Carolina at the beginning of August to begin my new program. 

These funds will go towards the following:

Moving truck - $1,000
Moving supplies - $20
First months rent - $500
(as well as food and other miscellaneous items until my stipend begins in my new program)

Supporting me here would mean, really, honestly, saving my life. It would mean making sure I am not stranded, jobless and homeless in one of the most expensive cities in the country. It would mean providing me with safe passage and success to my new home and graduate school. Please offer what you can. I will be so thankful, as this is a steeply desperate situation.
