Hi. I'm writing this for Matt. He's a dad. Four kids. A husband. An Army veteran.
On March 22, 2026, his life changed in a split second. He was working, because that's what Matt does. He works. Installing gutters. His ladder slipped. He jumped from 22 feet. He didn't land right. Both heels crushed. Ankles crushed. Left leg shattered. Right wrist broken so bad they had to put a plate in it.
That was two months ago. Today, Matt is in a nursing home rehab facility. He can't stand. He can't walk. He can't work. Doctors say maybe October before he can even think about a job. Maybe longer.
Here's what keeps him up at night. Not the pain. Not the therapy. The bills. He already has over $40,000 in orthopedic bills. His rehab costs $380 a day. That's already over $27,000. And more bills keep coming.
The VA? Not covering this. He's fighting for his benefits. But that fight takes time. And the bills don't wait. Matt has never done this before. He's never asked strangers for help. He's the guy who shows up for other people. But right now, he can't even stand up.
So I'm asking for him. $20 helps. $50 helps. $100 helps. Whatever you can spare goes straight to his medical bills. And if you can't give? Share this. Send it to someone who can. Sometimes a share is just as powerful as a donation.
Matt has a long road ahead. But he doesn't have to walk it alone.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Donate. Share. Show up for a veteran who served us all.
