Mahwa Adoch is a student whose life experiences have shaped who she is as a person and who she will be as a future leader. Mahwa is a newcomer to the United States and is currently a student at Garfield Elementary School in Mankato, Minnesota. She is an outstanding leader whose family has overcome incredible odds; because of who she is as a person, she was nominated for a leadership conference.

The conference takes place in Washington DC and is a once in a life-time experience for students such as Mahwa. She was recognized as a leader in our school and has the potential to grow and thrive as a leader in our community. As our school is not equipped to fund leadership conferences, Go Fund Me was a great option.
