Hi, my name is Catherine Tibbs and I'm fundraising for my son, Low St. Marie. In May, our world was turned upside down when Low was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Since then, everything has moved at lightning speed - he's already undergone one surgery, and we've now learned there are two mutations, one of which is aggressive and will not respond to chemotherapy, radiation, or traditional medication. Low is a fighter. He's strong, kind-hearted, and has always carried others through tough times - now, he needs us to carry him.

He will be out of work for the foreseeable future as he focuses on treatment and recovery. Although he has Florida Blue insurance, we've run into complications — it's unclear whether it will even be accepted in Texas. travel, lodging, treatment, daily expenses, and the stress of not knowing what's next, are just a few of the things we have to face soon.

As a mother, I want to do everything I can to help relieve the weight that's fallen on his shoulders. No one should have to fight cancer and fight financial stress at the same time.
