Hello! This Fundraiser is for a former foster youth who has fallen on hard times due to poor timing, state regulations, and poor housing options.
She has been in the foster system for 17 years, and she is now aging-out of the system. She is a hard-working, gregarious, and smart individual!
She has aspirations to be a psychologist, but for now she needs IMMEDIATE assistance for housing and food. Yes, there are government programs she is applying for and trying to qualify for, but those programs take time that will leave her in danger and on the street until the court system kicks in to support her.
She plans on using the funds you provide for housing & food for the next two months, and the funds are needed immediately to keep her in a safe environment.
Your support will be GREATLY appreciated and used soley for food and housing! If you know of anyone with safe housing in the LOS ANGELES COUNTY for her feel free to contact me - she has been locked-down in her room and home for the past month, so she does not have covid if you are concerned about that.
She is in a hotel thanks to the support of some of her former teachers and counselor (Christina Valentine & Joy Richardson) this is buying us time to keep her SAFE & WARM through the holidays, but your help is DEFINITELY NEEDED & APPECIATED <3
