Our son Lakai has the incredible opportunity to join his 8th grade class on an educational trip to Washington, DC and New York City this coming March. This will be Lakai’s first time traveling away from home, and he’s been working hard to help fund this once-in-a-lifetime experience. He’s excited to see the National Monuments, visit the Supreme Court, and explore the Smithsonian Museums—places he’s only read about in school. After DC, the group will head to New York City to see Central Park, Times Square, Grand Central Station, and even catch a Broadway show. They’ll also take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, bringing history to life in a way that’s truly unforgettable.

Lakai is especially looking forward to seeing how our government works up close and personal, and to visiting the monuments and museums he’s learned about in class. This trip is a unique chance for him to broaden his horizons, experience new cultures, and deepen his understanding of the world. The funds raised will help cover all the essentials for his journey, including flights, hotel stays, tours, meals, and more.
