My DACA Daughter

Verna is my niece. I raised her as my daughter. She is my brother's child. He was born in Jamaica and I was born here. He brought Verna here when she was 4 years old and brought her to me. I raised her as my daughter and she calls me mom although she knows I am her aunt. I call her Ladybug. Ladybug is now 25 and has a 11 month old baby girl of her own. My 21 year old daughter has quit her job to take care of the baby. Ladybug is a DACA kid and she is being held in an Immigration Detention Center in Irwin County in Ocilla Georgia. America is all she knows as a home. She went from Pre-K through High school graduation in America.  She is a beautiful spirit and an amazing mommy.  She has worked since she was 14, paying and filing her taxes. This is her home. It's all she knows. She doesn't even remember Jamaica. We do not have legal representation annd although bond was granted we have not been able to raise it since it works much differently than criminal bonds. The judge has given us 1 week to raise bond for her or he will order deportation.  Every milestone, Christmas, birthday has been with me. I'm all she knows and there is no one in Jamaica. I have never been so afraid in my life. Anyone who knows Ladybug knows she does not deserve this. Any form of help that anyone can provide with be deeply appreciated. I'm just trying to keep my family together. Thank you all for taking the time to read this. <3
