Kimberly Canning has been fighting one of the toughest battles of her life. Early last year, Kimberly and her husband’s world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma in her right breast and lymph node. Together, while raising their three children, they have faced this journey with unimaginable courage.

In August 2024, Kimberly met with her oncologist and got the official diagnosis. By September 2024, she had her port put in, and on October 2nd she began chemotherapy. After just one month, she had to switch to a new chemo in November, which took a heavy toll on her body. But she never gave up. On January 9, 2025, she completed her final chemo treatment.

Her fight didn’t end there. On March 26, 2025, Kimberly underwent a double mastectomy. Soon after, she began 34 rounds of radiation, completing her last treatment on July 14, 2025. Just weeks later, on August 1, 2025, she faced yet another surgery—this time on her shoulder, due to complications from her mastectomy.

Despite all this, Kimberly has worked hard to regain her strength and return to work. On August 21, 2025, she was hired as a substitute teacher, making just $65 a day when she’s called in. While this shows her determination, it hasn’t been enough to keep up with bills.

Right now, Kimberly and her family are on the verge of losing their only vehicle. The car payment is $480 a month, but with missed payments and fees, the total has climbed to $1,911. Without reliable transportation, she won’t be able to get to follow-up medical appointments, work opportunities, or take care of their kids’ needs.

We are hoping to raise $3000 to cover the overdue balance, get her family caught up, and give them a cushion to breathe.
