Help Aboriginal Children Shine

Donation protected
Just imagine helping to deliver world-class animation, creative writing, and digital recording workshops to assist in the educational development and inspiration of Aboriginal children from Western Australia.

Many of these children face unique obstacles, and statistics show that a large percentage are much less likely to follow a higher education pathway - this leaves them at a disadvantage when it comes to vocational choices, but you can help.

The project will be in two stages.

Stage One of the project will run from May to August and is for the children to research their own Noongar culture and local history, and present the findings to their community in creative and innovative ways.

The children will create a film using animation, art, poetry, interviews and excursions to showcase an archive of research, ancient traditional stories, histories, and cultural identity.

Stage Two is to set up a sustainable art and science festival to act as a bridge between traditional knowledge and creative digital technology.

We plan to invite leading players from the animation industry to West Australia to facilitate cultural exchanges to share the similarities and differences between cultures throughout the world.

We already have in-kind backing and support from the Armadale community, Adam Goodes, The Champion Centre Armadale, Captain Cook Birthplace Museum in Middlesbrough, and Children’s University Middlesbrough/Stockton.  In addition, we have the support of a variety of WA educational agencies and academics.

Our workshop leaders have an international reputation for producing fantastic outcomes with groups who may be seen as at risk.

All work will be carried out in collaboration with Aboriginal community leaders, and all techniques and methods will be shared to create a self-sustaining long-term project to empower, inspire, and showcase the talents of all who participate.

Just think, your support will provide these children with an amazing opportunity, and a real chance to shine and showcase their untapped talents to the world while unleashing the undoubted potential that lives within.

You will be helping to unearth a proud, new generation of film-makers, animators, authors, teachers, scientists, and artists from within a safe, fun, mutually educational and multicultural environment.

Go ahead and please help to make a difference today.
