Wheelchair Needed Desperately!

Donation protected

Hi, I'm Kelly. I'm 36 years old and 5 years ago I became disabled. After a fall I was diagnosed with chronic pain syndrome in my lumbar spine, along with degenerated dics and arthritis in my spine. I have since been diagnosed with M.E. (Myalgic Encephalomyolitis aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), and suspected Fibromyalgia. My mobility was already severely affected by my lumbar spine issues, however both M.E. and Fibromyalgia cause all over pain in the muscles and joints, muscle weakness, fatigue, flu-like symptoms among many other symptoms. This means I can now only walk very short distances with walking stick. There is no cure for M.E. or Fibromyalgia and no real treatment either. There is still little known about these illnesses. They are chronic, meaning, unless a cure is found, I am likely to have them for life. I am in constant pain, every minute of every day. No matter how much sleep I get, I do not get refreshed from it. This means most days I am only awake for 6-7 hours before the fatigue gets too much and I have to sleep. I had, until last week, managed to stay working at the same job I've had for the last 11 years. My health has declined over the last 5 years and I have needed a lot of time off sick, so last week, my employer ended my contract. I am no longer able to work, I had been struggling for some time. I leased my car through my employer, so I have not only lost my job, but also my car and therefore my mobility and I am having to move out of my beautiful home. I have a manual wheelchair, however, because of fatigue and muscle weakness, I can only use this on a 'good day' - which are few and far between - and as long as where I'm going has no hills or stairs. My reason for setting this campaign up, (which is very difficult for me because I am so bad at asking for help), is that I desperately need an electric powered wheelchair. I now have no job, so I can't afford one. An electric wheelchair would mean I could use it regardless of fatigue, muscle weakness, pain or hills. It would give me back my freedom, which I have lost. It will stop me being housebound. The last 5 years have been very traumatic; my whole life has changed. Please help me get some kind of life back and donate to help me get an electric wheelchair. Thank you in advance for reading, sharing and donating, I can't tell you how much I appreciate you help Kelly Xxx
