For as long as we can remember our 14 year old son Kairo has had an interest in computer programming. At 12 years old, Kairo and two of his friends started BermyBots, an afterschool programme which introduced robotics to students at his former primary school.

Kairo's passion for learning, and dreams of becoming a software developer has fuelled his recent successes of high honours and Head of Schools List honours.
Last summer Kairo was awarded a full scholarship to attend Oxford Royale on the St. Peter's campus of Oxford University, U.K. During this time he studied programming for two weeks achieving the highest average in his class.
This summer it is his hope to improve his programming skills by studying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning on the the M.I.T. campus in Cambridge MA. Unfortunately, they do not offer scholarships to international students (he is from Bermuda). Moreover, the cost of the camp alone is $4,711.00, not including airfare. Therefore, it may be near impossible for us to afford him this great opportunity if we do not receive your support. All funds will be sent to his godmother Tamisha Jernigan's US account as we do not have a social security number. She will then pay for the camp.
We are strong believers that all one can do in life is ask if they need assistance. As parents, we are reaching out to you heart to heart, you can either say yes or no to Kairo's dreams. We hope you will say YES!
Thank you so much! We appreciate all of your help.
