Hi everyone, glad you're here! My sister, Julie Weedman, is a devoted mom of 2, wife and awesome RN. She has fought breast cancer twice now and each time she won over that cancer beast. But the beast may have reared its ugly head again. How can this be?! No one should have to deal with this ugly beast once, but 3 times is unfathomable. The most recent ugly beast recurrence is on her head. She has already gone through several tests (CT, MRI, PET scan, and a biopsy). We are now anxiously awaiting the results from the biopsy for staging and confirmation. There is a very large mass and it has gone through the skull but hopefully not infiltrated the brain. At this point of the process she cannot work because she cannot increase the inner-cranial pressure. She also cannot do all of the things she loves to do in her recreation time like running and roller derby. Like I said, amazing woman huh? She also will not be able to work during the process of treatment, which at this point is still trying to be established, nor for quite some time after. So please, consider helping this amazing mom, wife, nurse, runner, roller derby dame and most of all my little sister. I can't imagine her not beating this ugly beast again, but she will need a lot of love and support to make it through. Cancer treatment is very expensive, and she is going to make with all of us.
