We’ve Hit A Crossroad, And We Need Your Help
We are only 20% to our goal, and time is running out. In just 9 days, Jessica will be discharged from acute rehab. She has made tremendous strides. Her strength is improving, and her determination is nothing short of awe-inspiring. But now we’ve hit a major crossroad.
After discharge, Jessica will need at least 6 weeks of intensive outpatient rehabilitation before I can safely bring her home.
Here’s the problem: I no longer live in California, and we don’t have a place to call home during those 6 weeks. Airbnb costs are astronomical, and our financial reserves are dwindling fast. We are staring down a mountain of expenses: medical bills, adaptive care, living costs, and it feels impossible.
This road is harder than we ever imagined. My faith is being tested. I’ve always believed that in the darkest moments, there is light. I’ve seen it in Jessica’s resilience.
I’ve seen it in the kindness of strangers. But we cannot do this alone. We are asking for your help. Whether it’s through a donation, a share, a prayer, or a suggestion for affordable housing in California—we need you. Jessica has come so far, but this next phase is crucial.
The progress she makes in these six weeks of outpatient rehab will define her recovery. It will determine how much mobility, independence, and quality of life she can regain.
Every dollar helps. Every share matters.
Every gesture of kindness brings us one step closer to making sure Jessica gets the care she deserves.
Please help us keep going. Please help us keep fighting. With all my gratitude,
Shari
