⚫️ Message from Jay: Hello everyone;) I want to first and foremost thank you for being here. Just taking the time to read this brings me gratitude. I appreciate each and everyone of you. ⚫️ Message from Jay’s Fundraising Team: As Jay said, thank you all for being here. We are all in this together. Teamwork makes the dream work. ⚪️ We are fundraising for a 37-year-old man who is currently fighting T-cell type acute lymphoblastic leukemia, non-Hodgkin’s. Jay was diagnosed on August 22 and was hospitalized for 35 days following the diagnosis, undergoing the induction phase of chemotherapy at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Since then he has continued treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. ⚪️ It is a long and grueling process that requires Justin‘s full commitment where he sometimes receives treatment five days a week. The conditions of the treatment make it impossible for him to work for a living. He was an extremely healthy individual who worked very hard before being diagnosed and would much rather be continuing his career than feeling the side effects of an intense chemo regiment. ⚪️ Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic, way back in March, Jay was fired from a very successful position along with 250 employees who worked for a very prominent real estate development and holdings company that also managed Art Galleries. Jay was one of the most successful sales associates in the Arts division, he managed multiple art galleries and was loved by his superiors, the people he worked with and those who worked under him. In August his plans to move to North Carolina with his loving and supportive girlfriend fell apart when the mass was discovered in his chest. Over the past 9 months Jay has depleted his entire savings account and his girlfriend has sacrificed her own career to provide him the support he needs to beat the disease. There’s barely any money left for them to live from and cover the out-of-pocket costs related to treatment. ⚪️ They are good, decent and caring people who love each other dearly and pray for the promise of having a long, grateful and wonderful life together. Any help given is cherished with love and gratitude. May God bless you all. ❤️
