Study abroad in Italy with UF June 2023

I am excited to share that I have been accepted to the University of Florida's study abroad program: UF in Florence—Global Perspectives.

As a student who is pursuing graduate education post-undergrad, this international experience will be essential in globalizing my education. I am excited to explore the culture of Italy and step out of my comfort zone to embark on this experience.

As a first-generation college student, being able to not only obtain my degree but, study abroad in the process will be a significant achievement. Throughout my time at UF, I have been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA while tackling two majors, a minor, working and extracurriculars. Participating in this program will undoubtedly enhance my undergraduate education. However, the cost of this program is $5,600, not including travel expenses; therefore, I am seeking financial support to help cover my expenses.

UF in Florence Global Perspectives is a six-week program that dives into the culture of Italy. I will be taking two classes, one taught by UF professors, and the other taught at Florence University of the Arts, the institution that is hosting us. These classes will include field trips around and outside the city, understanding health and wellness in Italy, and examining the local and international history and its impacts on Italy.

Your donation would be invaluable to my participation in this program. By contributing, you would be helping me cover the cost of the program which includes housing, tuition, insurance; other expenses such as airfare that are not included in the program cost. My departure date is June 24, 2023, and I will be accepting donations until June 20th.
