In Loving Memory of Holly
Donation protected
Update: Our sweet Holly left this earth on June 25, 2025. She is survived by her son Hudson (17), and her daughter Madison (23). All future donations will go toward putting her to rest as well as helping her kids continue to make ends meet in her absence. On behalf of me and my family, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of the selfless donations. ♥️
My name is Lavonne Peterson and I am asking for help for my Aunt Holly, 59. She is my mom’s sister, but more so has always been like a second mom to me.
In July 2024, she went in for a routine procedure that turned into our worst nightmare. The big C word. Colorectal Cancer. She was then sent to follow up with doctors and received her actual diagnosis in September 2024. She was Stage 4 and the PET scan showed metastasis to her lymph nodes, but nowhere else at the time. She was started on immunotherapy.
As of yesterday, her scans showed metastasis to her bones, brain, and some muscles since her diagnosis, even with the immunotherapy. Chemotherapy is the next step.
Despite the excruciating pain, she has been working this entire time. Like most of us, she can't afford to take the time off work and oftentimes probably needed the distraction. Now, with chemotherapy every two weeks and factoring in downtime, she will NEED to take time off (although I know she will fight us on this).
I want to allow her and her children (Maddison, 23, and Hudson, 16) the peace of mind to be able to put her health first. I don’t want her to feel defeated every time another copay comes up. I want her to feel safe and secure to fight this. Myself and our family, which include her five sisters, are helping the best we can, but even then, the financial strain of any illness can quickly feel insurmountable.
Anything helps and our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for hearing us and helping. If you’re unable to donate, please still share this on our behalf. Thank you again!
