This is Gobi, my 2-month-old kitten—but to me, he’s not just a kitten. Gobi is my son, my baby, and my family. It’s very hard for me to have children of my own, and Gobi (& Aloo) has filled that place in my heart with love and joy.
He also has an older brother, Aloo, who loves him dearly. They love play fighting, and Aloo has been waiting at home for his little brother to come back healthy.
Last week, what we thought was a little kitten cold turned out to be FIP (feline infectious peritonitis)—a disease that used to be fatal but now has a treatment if we can keep him stable long enough to complete it.
Since Wednesday, we have already reached $13,000 just to keep him alive with fluids, glucose, and supportive care. He’s now constipated, weak, and refusing food, but we are not giving up on him.
The medication that can save him exists, and the earlier he receives it, the better his chances. With a full 12-week treatment course and supportive care, 80–90% of cats survive. We want Gobi to be one of those success stories.
Right now, we can’t do this alone. Every dollar goes directly toward:
- Hospital care, fluids, and medications
- Antiviral treatment (GS-441524 / Remdesivir)
- Ongoing lab monitoring and follow-up visits
- Comfort and nutrition support while he fights through this
If you can donate—no matter how small—it helps Gobi stay alive and receive the medicine he needs. If you can’t donate, please share this link to spread his story.
