Help Fund Kiana's Education At UConn

Hi everyone! My name is Kiana, and I am currently a sophomore undergraduate student at UConn (University of Connecticut) studying business management.

I am trying to raise funds to help pay for my education and to help pay off the current student loan debt that I have. Also to pay for items for my dorm and necessities. I am a first-generation student who comes from a low-income family. I do struggle with mental health, and I have autism and selective mutism (an anxiety disorder), which makes it very challenging to get an everyday job. My anxiety can get so bad to the point my mind shuts down and I freeze up, even over something that others would find silly to get anxious about.

It is also a challenge for me to get private student loans, as I have been rejected from multiple loan providers for this upcoming school year. The one I received in the past has a high interest rate. I am unable to get additional private student loans with a co-signer, as my mom's credit score is not good, and my dad does not have an income, which makes it more of a challenge to get approved, even with a co-signer. I have no one else who is willing to co-sign, and I do not want to do it with a stranger.

Despite all of the challenges I face, I am still hoping to get a college/university education and not drown in student loan debt after I graduate. I don't want to lose any of my progress so far due to financial burdens, so any help would be appreciated.

100% of the money donated to this fundraiser will go to paying for my upcoming semesters, paying off my student loan debt, to pay for items for my dorm, and to pay for necessities.
