Help Family Recover from Tragic Accident

Monday night was supposed to be a night full of excitement and joy as I picked up my sweet boy from the airport after he spent the summer with his dad.

Even my wildest imaginations couldn’t have guessed what was going to happen. As my son and I were driving home, only about 15 minutes from home, we were in an accident that caused my son to have minor cuts and bruises, totaled my car, and left a person deceased…

Between the many people who stopped to help us and the state patrol, this traumatic event was less traumatic than it could’ve been. Physically, my son and I are doing quite well. We have gone to therapy, and been surrounded by loved ones as we both recover. My soul hurts every moment that I think about what has happened and what the next steps are to move forward.

To say that I am devastated is a horrific understatement. I know I did everything I could. I know I did nothing wrong. I also know that there is one less person in this world who was very likely loved and will be missed.

I don’t exactly know what the next few weeks or months will look like for us, but we would appreciate any help you can provide whether it be sharing our story, donating, or offering words of support.

All money raised from this fundraiser will go towards therapy costs, recovery expenses, bills from lost work, purchasing of a new car, and unexpected expenses.
