Turkey is facing a devastating aftermath of a significant earthquake. About 6,000 apartment buildings (which are at least 5 story buildings housing over 120k people in total) collapsed at 4am when everyone was asleep.

This fundraiser is organized by Cem Gercek and his wife Besmira Zhabjaku. Cem was born and raised in Turkey and they live in Canada.

Cem's family is ok, but he knows a lot of people who were impacted. His best friend and roommate from university is from Gaziantep, one of the cities hit hard.

They are asking for help for hundreds of thousands of survivors who are facing freezing weather without shelter. Some of the casualties are kids freezing on the streets.

Donations will be transferred to the following organizations based on feedback we received from friends in the earthquake effected areas.
