Greetings!
We are the Elysium Saxophone Quartet from California State University, Fresno! We are a group of collegiate musicians pursuing the highest level of musicianship in chamber music. We recently applied and were accepted into the Sinta Quartet Institute at the South Shore Conservatory in Hingham, Massachusetts! This program is hosted by the globally-renown and award-winning Sinta Quartet. In this program, we will get the opportunity to study our art with this legendary group, both in intense group-led sessions with the quartet as well as one on one private lessons specifically catered to each of our members. After these sessions, we will also have the opportunity to perform throughout the entire community and participate in a culminating recital featuring all of the accepted saxophone quartets including the Sinta Quartet themselves!

We are extremely honored to have been accepted into such a highly prestigious program!

Below is a list of associated costs:
1.) Tuition: $2,000
2.) Flights: $2,000
3.) Housing: $1,500
4.) Local Transit: $150 (bus, train, etc.) - $600 (rental car)
*These are estimated expenses for the trip*

About the Sinta Quartet:

Formed by Dan Graser, Zach Stern, Joe Girard, & Danny Hawthorne-Foss in 2010, the Sinta Quartet has established a strong reputation for excellence in the chamber music community. The members of this quartet studied at the University of Michigan under the guidance of internationally acclaimed saxophonist, Donald Sinta. On top of being world-class performers, each of the members are passionate educators and pedagogues.

The Sinta Quartet has received 1st place in chamber music competitions such as the 2013 Concert Artists Guild Competition, the 2018 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, the 2017 M-Prize Chamber Arts Competition, the 2013 Coleman Chamber Competition, and the 2012 North American Saxophone Alliance.

“Virtuosic to the core” (Textura) and hailed as “a tight-knit ensemble exploding with power and virtuosity” (Boston Musical Intelligencer), the Sinta Quartet is on a mission to bring the versatility, homogeneity, and excitement of the saxophone to audiences everywhere. Strengthening an already palpable connection with its audience by performing entirely from memory, the quartet provides a fresh take on chamber music that is at once beautiful, virtuosic, and a completely interactive experience.
