Help Khaled and his 5 children in Gaza

Life Before October 7th, 2023

I am Khaled Al-Harkali. I was born and raised in Gaza. Before the war, I married my loving wife Doaa, and had a wonderful life with my 5 children. I worked within the field of cellular devices. I built my own house on a piece of land and had a garden with it. I did my best to send my children to the best schools so they may be educated and did my best to give them the best life possible.

My children are Hala, 13 years old, and Nour, 12 years old. Abdul Rahman, 9 years old, Jannat, 7 years old, and Reem, one year old.

Like any father would want, I took my children out to eat at restaurants. We had celebrations for holidays and enjoyed our life in Gaza. My motivation was to see them grow beautifully and to see them smile every day.

Life After the War Began

However, our lives were shattered by the war in 2023. Our once safe home turned into ruins, and everything I worked so hard to build was destroyed.

My children’s innocent dreams were replaced with nightmares of war and destruction. They lost their sense of safety and access to education, and we were left with nothing but the clothes on our backs.

Now, we live in makeshift tents, struggling daily to find enough water, food, and medicine. The constant fear of bombing and violence hangs over us, making it impossible to rebuild any semblance of normal life. My heart breaks as I watch my children suffer

We found ourselves living a primitive life among tents, with little water, little food and medicine. My condition became overwhelming. My house was destroyed, my business was destroyed, my relatives and friends were killed, and now I have spent everything. What I have now is only confusion. How will I get my children out of Gaza when I do not even have money to feed them? So please spare even if $5 dollars so I may help my family and my children can grow up to have a life. 

Maksuda Begum Foundation Pledge

We are a grassroots organization that was started to help Gazans back on their feet. To provide money directly to the families so they may be able to get back to normal life after this war ends.

The money is to be used for evacuation purposes, as well as food and supplies. It will also be used to help the families get back on their feet after the war ends, so they are not living inside of tents for the rest of their lives.

We will transfer all funds using Paypal, and Western Union directly to the families. As well as transfer funds to the Bank of Palestine when possible.
