Help Dave Beat His Cancer

Hello,
I am Mike Rozell and I am apealing to anyone who see's this for help for my brother David Rozell.
My brother Dave lives in Crystal River, Florida and is fighting for his life. He was diagnosed with rectal cancer about a month ago and is undergoing radiation and chemo treatments.
The worst part about this is that he is doing all of this alone. He was sick for a while before his diagnosis and hasn't been able to work, so he is broke, living in an unairconditioned trailer in Florida and he takes the bus every day to get his treatments. He needs a break and he needs some help.
This all started when he was having a lot of difficulty with hemoroids and was not able to sit, ride his bike or work without a lot of discomfort. He had no insurance and no savings so he found a program through Shands Hospital in Gainsville, Florida where they would do medical work on indigent people at no cost. So he got a friend to drive him up there and they put him under a local (because a general was too expensive) cut out three huge chunks of flesh from his rectum, packed it with gauze and sent him home. No stitches, no pain meds, no follow up schedule...nothing.
So, fast forward about 2 months later and he is still bleeding from these open wounds. He can't work, has no money and is using rags to control the bleeding. Emergency rooms turned him away and no hospital would see him without insurance.
Finally, he hemmoraged one night and called 911. They admitted him and a doctor ordered tests and found that the damage to his rectum and colon were so extensive, that they couldn't fix it. So at 55 years old, they gave him a colostomy and he will have a bag for the rest of his life.
Then two days later the doctor came in and told him he had tested the tissue around the wounds and that it was cancerous. He was then told that it was a type of cancer that responds well to treatment but without insurance, they couldn't treat him and they discharged him with a bag of colostomy bag samples and a death sentence.
He went to his church and when he spoke to people there they arranged for him to talk with a couple of doctors that went to the same church and they agreed to treat him at no cost for the radiation but the chemo they couldnt cover. He is working with a social worker to get help but that is taking forever.
So, he get's up, walks to a bus stop a half a mile away, rides the bus to the doctors office, gets radiation treatment, walks back to the bus, home and into bed so exhausted that he cant eat or do anything....day after day. He also says that he is taking half of his pills so that he doesn't run out so the pain is pretty severe all of the time.
He does not know I am doing this and would be pretty pissed if he knew but I am at a loss of how to help him more. So, I am sending what I can and hoping that a few people can help so he can get taxi's to the treatments, get his meds and save his strength to fight this terrible battle.
My sister and I are sending what we can and I plan on traveling to Florida in November to see him and see if there is anything I can do when I am there.
He is a good man and is worth saving. Please, if you have 5 or 10 bucks, lend a hand and help a man who is down but not out. If you can't send money, send a prayer...every little bit counts.
Thanks and god bless,
Mike
