We are raising money for our adorable nephew Cru and his family. Cru was born on May 3, 2015 with a rare disorder called Peter's Anomaly. Peter's Anomaly is a visual malformation that results in an opaque cornea and high risk of glaucoma. It is unclear to what degree he is able to see. His left eye is fully clouded and the right partially so. What this means for Cru, is he will need corneal transplants and medical management throughout his life. His first surgery is scheduled for July 6th.
Additionally, at birth, Cru spent over a week in the NICU. He was lethargic and required a feeding tube as well as a myriad of tests. His care team continues to consider other possible genetic diagnosises.
At this point there are still many questions to be answered. However, it is clear that Cru and his family will need help to tackle the enormous cost of all of the previous and future medical care. Their strength and love for their son has been overwhelming. Please give as you are able to help this wonderful family.
