Dearest family, friends, and future freinds,
My closest friends Cory, Kelly, and little baby Kellan very much need our help.
They dreamed of moving down to St. Thomas for years and building a life centered around the boat charter industry. Cory is a certified boat captain and secured a the vessel "Zacapa" top operate and run, it was going to be a lot of work, but Cory and Kelly were ready for the challenge. They decided a few months ago the time was right, with child in tow, they moved down to the islands. They had everything they ever wanted.
Their boat survived Hurricane Irma, leaving hope that they could still have their primary source of income.
Enter Maria, she came and took the boat away and dashed the hopes of their new life. Right now, Kelly is up in Connecticut with her son as a refugee from the islands. They're prediciting that St. Thomas's power will be out for atleast 6 months, making it impossible for Kelly and Kellan to come back to their home any time soon.
We are choosing to go through gofundme because 100% of the proceeds go to rebuilding Cory, Kelly, and Kellan's life. Any money would be appreciated for rent, water damage replacement, and general rebuilding of the community.
