Help Claude & family beat Stage 4 Cancer

Update - April 21, 2025
Hey fam.

I wanted to come on here and give an update on Claude’s health.

Claude completed the cyber knife treatment back in March. We will go back to the cancer center in May for new scans to see if he has responded to the treatment and in the meantime, looking into other treatments that can help restore brain health.

Claude had a bad reaction to the steroids they put him on as well as the radiation and spent 3 weeks at home recovering. During that time, he contracted an upper respiratory virus that took him out again. His symptoms were bad headaches, hair loss, frequent nose bleeds, and extreme fatigue.

2 weeks ago he went for a check up for his lungs. He gets CT scans every 3 months. Unfortunately, this last scan showed a slight progression of the main tumor in his left lung. The cancer in his lung has been stable and in remission since August 2023, however the scan has shown an increase in its size.

Claude isn’t a candidate for surgery due to him being Stage 4. The oncologist is recommending changing his immunotherapy meds as they believe he has become immune to them. He will start the new medication soon and we are praying for no side effects.

We have told our kids this news, and as you can expect, that was very tough. But we are believing for wholeness of health and healing for Claude as a family. We are praying together and asking God to guide us on this journey as this is a very difficult road for everyone.

We would like to thank each and every one of you that has donated to his gofundme. Your generosity and compassion has moved us so deeply. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It has been a great help since he has been in and out of work since February.

We will keep you updated as we know more. For now, keep believing with us ❤️

Hey fam.

A quick update

Many know Claude Ndayishimiye was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer with possible spread to the brain back in September 2022. Doctors were sure the tumor in the lung was active cancer; however, the mass in the brain stumped them. We saw specialist after specialist, and they all concluded that since they cannot confirm that the cancer spread to the brain and the mass is not giving him issues (which is a scientific miracle! Docs said he should have been paralyzed, fainting, and having speech delays—but he had NONE!), they decided to keep an eye on it. So we did and have been ever since.

What a wild ride it has been!

We have seen miracle after miracle in his healing.

In August 2023, he got the all-clear from doctors, and his lung cancer went into spontaneous remission. He did not have chemo or radiation. He took the immunotherapy and holistic route, which worked wonders for his overall health. This remission shocked doctors, but it didn’t shock us. We knew that God was going to heal Claude. We just didn’t know when or how, but we knew it would happen ‍♀️‍➡️

A few weeks ago, Claude started to have some headaches that would not subside. A stat MRI was ordered for him, where we found that the mass in his brain has significantly increased in size. Due to the mass being in the center of his brain, where all his memory and motor skills are controlled, it would be more harmful to surgically remove and biopsy the mass than it would be to leave it where it is. There was a high chance of permanently paralyzing him just to biopsy the mass to know for sure what this is. It doesn’t resemble cancer per se, but because of the growth, the doctors are labeling it cancer. Despite the diagnosis from doctors, we know who the Great Physician is and have seen Him at work healing Claude’s lungs.

So here we are, family. On the second leg of this journey. A terrible road we wish no one to be on, yet a path we must walk and overcome.

Claude and I are currently in Tampa for this entire week undergoing brain treatment for the mass at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Claude is doing incredible with hardly any side effects, so stand with us and believe that it will stay that way.

We follow up in 6-8 weeks to check if he has responded to treatment, and we are believing for great things.

We are hopeful and filled with faith, but there are moments of fear, sadness, grief, anxiety, happiness, anger, shock, but then faith and hope again. This is a tough battle for our entire family.

This is what we ask from our friends and family: pray for us and our children. Liam and Abby have taken this very hard but are faring well. We have some strong kids. Check on us from time to time, and if you live near us, just stop by uninvited. Laugh with us, hug us, encourage us with texts and calls (even if we don’t answer, we will see it). Tell us about your life so that we can feel a part of something else too ❤️

We are so grateful for everyone who has stepped in and cared for our kids while we have been away and those who have called and texted. For some, this is your first time hearing this news. Be patient with us; it’s been a whirlwind since we got this news.

Believing for greater things still.
