Help with Becca's Medical Needs

My sister, Becca, was entering into her senior year at Virginia Tech as a performance major in French horn. She was first chair in the VA Tech symphonic horn choir.  With many auditions and a pending invitation to play with the Roanoke Symphony, all of which were cut short by a person who ran a stop sign.

The accident caused a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury. This injury has caused a multitude of physical, psychological, and emotional problems which manifest much like PTSD.  Among these are severe nausea, vision impairment, migraine headaches, loss of balance, sound and light sensitivity, and the emotional strain of the loss of the love of her life, music. 

She is no longer able to attend school and has moved back in with her mom for help with a regular schedule for her therapies.  Her mom has had to quit her job so she can help Becca maintain the schedule and have consistent help and encouragement. 

The treatment she needs include extensive physical therapy for her vision and auditory damage, requiring  special glasses and special ear plugs along with, psychological and emotional therapies including cognitive restructuring. She is being given a service dog to assist with things she is having to deal with in certain situations.

Sadly all of these therapies and special aides come at a cost. It would mean so much if you can help in any way so that Becca can get all the assistance she needs to try to get back to the beautiful life she was on track to have.
