Help Badass Becky Beat Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Becky Galdo is one of the toughest, most genuine, kindest people you'll ever meet.
After weeks of tests, appointments, and medical professionals senselessly saying, “But you’re so young…” We now know what Becky is facing: triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma, Grade 3, Stage 2 in her right breast and ductal carcinoma In situ stage 0 in her right. Both negative for hormones.
This means 5 months of chemo, every Wednesday starting August 20th and going through the holidays. It means a double mastectomy after chemo. It means being released from a clinical trial due to secondary tumor findings. It means only being able to work 2 days a week. It means painful cold capping to try to save her hair. It means meeting with lawyers and estate planning. And so much more.
For our Badass Becky, it also means engagement to Steven, cheesy photos at Disney, a wedding, and her 31st birthday celebration all within 10 days. And hope. And resilience. And videos sharing her journey, all the ups and downs of it.

This is a long journey, one that will take a heroic effort on Becky’s behalf and the support of all the people who love and are inspired by her. We are in awe of all the people who donated and raised over $25,000 in less than 30 days since Becky’s diagnosis. This money is helping Becky cover all the expenses of battling breast cancer, from medical to wellness to legal expenses, all made more challenging by her inability to work a full week.
We hope and pray you continue to support Becky on a monthly basis. If you can give a little extra as a wedding gift (August 3rd), birthday gift (August 5th), or first day of chemo gift (August 20th), you would be lifting Becky’s spirits along with helping relieve the stress of all the bills that are starting to pile up.
If you are in the Tampa, area, Becky is looking for friends and supporters who are available on Wednesday’s to take her to her chemo appointments. You can sign up here

Stay tuned for more updates from Becky on her Instagram. More followers mean more support, more loving comments, and more breast cancer awareness. Thank you!
The Backstory
Becky Galdo is one of the toughest, most genuine, kindest people you'll ever meet.
Through her life, Becky has faced each curve ball life has thrown her with resilience and grace.
She was born the youngest of 5, the only girl. Becky’s medical challenges began at a young age, during her first year she underwent reconstructive surgeries and therapy. Navigating chronic medical conditions has remained a part of daily life, something many people don’t realize when meeting her. In college, Becky was the victim of romantic partner abuse. She survived, as she does, and dedicated her life to becoming a social worker who helps other people.
Somehow, Becky grew a spine of steel while maintaining a sole of rubber; one that always bounces back. She has found communities of people who share her experiences and in sharing her life, worked hard to remove the stigma surrounding living with chronic pain and conditions.
She faced the challenges of chronic health problems by focusing on becoming physically strong and embraced the Beach Body lifestyle. She went both gluten and dairy free and started sharing what she learned about a totally different way of eating and living. Becky decided to share her physical and emotional journey on Instagram, and became an inspiration to many: working two jobs, healing, growing, and being transparent with all of her followers along the way.

Eventually, she decided to focus on her community and followers who turned to her for moral, spiritual, health and fitness coaching, and guidance, which meant self-employment. She founded the Believe in Wellness Collective. Together with Steven, her significant other, and Bellamy, his son, she built a life that included family, friends, entrepreneurship, travel, homeownership, and lots and lots of Disney.
Last year, during martial arts training, Becky sustained a life changing ankle injury - a dislocated ankle and trimolleolar fracture. Surgery and many hard months of physical therapy followed. She was couch-bound for longer than she would’ve liked and there were days when it was hard to get out of bed. Becky shared all this with us through her Instagram, letting us know we’re not alone when we face mental and physical challenges and setbacks. Of course, Becky’s strength got her back to workouts and her passion for helping others.

Just as she emerged on the other side of recovery, she realized something was wrong elsewhere in her body. She saw her doctor, did some tests, and on July 11th got this diagnosis: invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC), Nottingham grade 3, a type of breast cancer that is considered high-grade and aggressive. It indicates that the cancer cells look very different from normal breast cells, grow quickly, and are more likely to spread.

Becky - at only 30 years old - responded with tremendous strength and resiliency. Her motto on the day of diagnosis: "They whispered to her, 'You cannot withstand the storm.' She whispered back, 'I am the storm.’” Becky is the storm. And for the first time, she has let us - her family - support her in organizing a hurricane of support that will help her wipe out cancer.
We are turning to you - with Becky’s full consent - to ask you to be her wind. To be her waves. And to be her thunder. We are working to raise $50,000 to ensure that Becky can focus fully on her fight to kick cancer’s ass and to do it without incurring medical debt or struggling to supplement her lost income. That means that we need 500 people to contribute $100 or more between now and the end of the year. We are absolutely confident that there are 500 people in Becky’s family, friends, followers, and admirers who are able to contribute and support Becky. Whether it’s a one-time gift of $100 or $25 per month for 4 months doesn’t matter. What matters is that we fuel the storm Becky is going to bring to this cancer battle.
Becky is doing regular updates on her Instagram. We’ll also do our best to provide updates here.
Please do not hesitate to share this story with anyone you think will be compelled by it: Badass Becky fighting every battle that has come her way with grace and the ability to turn them into benefits for her community.
