Help Fund Allyn's Cancer Treatment

Allyn Benedict is an Anglican Priest with a vast love for people.  He has been married for 42 years to his wife, Judith, and has 2 children and 9 grandchildren!  He is also a man of great depth, creativity, and a delightful sense of humor.  He has spent many years teaching music and given much of his life in the pursuit of helping others.  

Now Allyn needs our help.

Allyn Benedict was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in January of 2016.  He underwent colon cancer surgery and 6 months of Chemo.  Several weeks ago he had a relatively minor, out-patient operation to remove a growth at the major incision site of last January's surgery.  The biopsy showed that it was the same cancer that was there from the beginning. It has come back. He had a follow-up PET scan that revealed several cancerous tumors in his abdomen.. one quite large. This is a very aggressive cancer.

They do not do surgical intervention for this kind of situation.  Allyn will begin chemo next Tuesday and hopefully it will be effective in shrinking them although, it will not be a cure.  Therefore, Allyn and his family are looking into a number of other "whole body" approaches, including the latest immunotherapies.  While these are promising alternatives to help Allyn, they are extremely expensive.  The cost is almost prohibative but, the treatment could help cure his cancer or prolong the months/years he has left with his family.  With your help, we can make this possible for him!

We are looking to raise money for Allyn's treatment and other medical expenses that might accumulate.  Any amount you are able to give would be such a blessing and help alleviate the burden and stress during this time.
