Who am I?
My name is Alison. I’m a 48-year-old mother of the coolest boys!
Unfortunately, I also have a rare, aggressive, brain cancer!
July of 2023 my world turned upside down when I was diagnosed with a very large brain tumor.
I had surgery that left me with several significant disabilities, but I was hopeful the cancer would not come back.
Unfortunately, it came back more aggressive than before, which has limited my options!
Surgery alone could not get rid of the cancer. I have to have radiation now or the tumor will continue to grow, causing more serious damage to my brain and eventually becoming fatal.
My Treatment Plan:
My doctors have recommended surgery to remove as much of the tumor as safely possible followed by proton beam radiation therapy to try to slow the growth of the remaining cancer cells.
This dual approach is vital to giving me the best chance at recovery.
While I am determined to face this battle head-on, the financial burden of treatment is more than I can handle alone.
Why I Need Your Help:
I will have surgery in the coming weeks followed by rehabilitation for a few weeks and then 7-8 weeks of daily radiation therapy.
Your generosity will go directly toward covering:
• Radiation treatment expenses
• Transportation and lodging while doing radiation
• Essential living expenses during treatment and recovery
How You Can Make a Difference:
Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to healing and relieves some of the heavy stress I’m carrying.
If you’re unable to give, I’d be so grateful if you could share my story with others who might be able to help and please ask them to share the story forward as well! Every single share is important!
With Gratitude:
I’m humbled to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this alone. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers as I fight this battle.
