Help affected community in Mexico!

Through Échale a Tu Casa, we can help families in the Huamúchil, Oaxaca community rebuild their homes, earn income through work and receive education. The earthquake destroyed their homes and the hurricanes crushed their source of income (fishing).

Échale a Tu Casa will provide Home and Work by paying to the landowners for manufacturing the eco-blocks for their homes. With 2,200 eco-blocks they build a house with two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen, of approximately 50m² (538ft²). Then it pays to the family and community members for building the house.

Every time Échale a Tu Casa goes to a community, it focuses on reinforcing Education by understanding their needs and, during the construction period, providing workshops focused on reconstruction, nutrition or financial education.

Each house costs $165,000 pesos (8,740 USD) of which $22,000 pesos ($1,163 USD) are destined for the production of 2,200 eco-blocks that are needed for the construction.

Échale a Tu Casa seeks to raise donations to cover the remaining amount that includes electric, hydraulic, water tank, additional building materials, doors, windows, bathroom furniture and salaries of community members.

Huamúchil needs to rebuild 131 houses. Fundación Azteca will match this project 1x1. EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE WILL BE DOUBLED.
