Emergency Help Needed – Navy Family Facing Unexpected Crisis Before PCS Move

Hi, my name is Sarah Bouscher, and I’m reaching out during a time of urgent need for our family.

My husband is Active Duty in the U.S. Navy, and we are in the middle of preparing for a PCS move across the country. Just a few weeks before our move, a flash flood hit our neighborhood, and our only current mode of transportation, the family van, broke down in the storm.

We are now stranded without transportation, with no time or resources to spare. My husband’s truck is currently being used by my father, and we have no other way to get around or prepare for the move. Our van needs to be towed and repaired immediately so we can get back on track and make our PCS deadline.

The van's engine air intake sits very low and sucked up water, so the entire engine is flooded and needs urgent repairs. My husband has tried everything he can at home and cannot get this fixed without adequate tools and help.

We are asking for $5,000 to cover:

Towing costs

Urgent mechanic fees

Any related expenses to ensure the van is safe and functional for travel
