It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Max Smith. He was a cherished brother, friend, and son who brought so much love and light into the lives of people around him.
Max was an incredibly creative and crafty young man. He love to draw, paint, crochet, and do nail art. He was looking forward to his independence post-graduation and having his first job as a nail tech. He loved his chickens, his cats, sharks, birds, botany, and the family dog Harley. He also loved hosting dinner and tea parties for his friends and family. He was only 21 years old, and had just started to blossom into his true self and to become confident in his identity.
Above all else, Max enjoyed helping other people and was always willing to lend a hand to those around him. His passing was sudden and unexpected after a brief hospital stay requiring a ventilator and eventual transport to Seattle for life support, where he would eventually complete his final, selfless act and become a tissue donor. His few short days in the ICU involved complex medical care that will, unfortunately, be a large financial burden for his family.
As Max's family comes to terms with his passing, they are also faced with the difficult task of arranging his final farewell and managing the immense medical expenses related to his time in the ICU on life support. They wish to give him the dignified and heartfelt send-off he deserves. Unfortunately, the financial burdens of funeral and medical expenses are overwhelming for his family during this already challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the financial strain and allow Max's family to focus on grieving and remembering him fondly.
