Hello, my name is Ashley Dupuis, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of the Lynch family.
As many of you may know, Noah Lynch was diagnosed with colon cancer on December 2021. Since then, Noah has been through 16 rounds of chemotherapy, a colectomy (surgical removal of his colon), and multiple revision surgeries. For the last 3 years, the Lynch family has faithfully trusted God with the uncertainties and sorrows while continuing to joyfully raise their two sons, Luke (7yo) and Jack (5yo). Unfortunately, on April 3, 2024, during what we hoped to be his final surgery and possible end to his battle with cancer, the surgeons found many new tumors throughout his abdomen. This means that Noah now has stage IV colon cancer, which as you can imagine was devastating news for all who know and love the Lynch family. However (and praise God for howevers), there is a new immunotherapy treatment available for colon cancers that have specific genetic mutations. Noah’s genetic testing has shown his tumor to be the type that responds. That is no small thing, as this treatment has been successful in bringing some patients (even stage IV) into clinical remission. The duration of remission cannot be known as this is a new therapy without decades of follow-up, but there are already documented cases with patient’s survival measured in years. This is terrific news! That being said the treatment may be life-long and is quite expensive.
And this is why I am asking for your prayers, and for your financial support. The cost of the treatment for the Lynch family is unknown. One round of immunotherapy can be upwards of $18,000 retail cost, and we just aren’t sure what insurance will cover yet. With that, the goal of this GoFundMe is as follows: 1) to cover the cost of immunotherapy for ideally a year (based on my best guess), and give the Lynch family a measure of financial peace as they go into the unknowns of a new treatment this year; 2) to give them some flexibility in their budget. God has been providing for them but finances have been tight, and that is its own burden; and 3) to give the Lynches some time to retool and figure out what their financial and physical “new normal” will be.
If you are not in a financial position to give, please pray that God uses this treatment to give Noah many more years with us, and share this GoFundMe effort anywhere you can!
I will be posting updates on this page so those who are giving and praying can stay up to date.
