Help the community in San Jose Calderas, Guatemala
Donation protected
Hey,
I'm Miriam. I hiked up the Acatenango, a 3.978mt Volcano in Guatemala, in January 2023 with the travel agency: CA Travelers.
I met Farah, the owner of CA Travelers - & was deeply touched by her story. A story of a woman who comes from a poor background and works ambitiously towards her goals to create a better education in Guatemala.
Farah & CA Cares are constantly helping/working with the local community in San Jose Calderas in Guatemala.
A good education is the chance for a better life. That's why the great work of Farah is important to me.
Together we can improve education in San Jose Calderas, Guatemala.
What has already been done:
- Abandoned school: fixed the basic facilities ( Electricity, Water System, Toilets)
- Hiring a first English teacher
- Computer lab got created
What is our goal?
- Hire more qualified teachers to enable more kids to join the school
- Create a kitchen by 2024 ( currently kids do/ leave school hungry, kids can't concentrate)
- Enlarge the school ( last year 31 kids were the max. school size, now we have 52 kids and next year we hope to have at least 70 kids in school)
At the end of the campaign 100% of the donations will be transferred to CA Cares.
