Help the Guzmans & Quabners Rebuild- River Fire

My name is Michelle Guzman and I’ve created this fundraiser because my two families, the Guzmans and Quabners, have lost their homes in the recent River Fire. The fire started in Placer County on August 4th, then burned into Nevada County and destroyed several homes in Chicago Park. We are hoping to get our families back on their feet with your help. Whether it be to provide the necessities, rebuild the homes lost, or relocating family members.
Built from the ground up over 30 years, the Guzman home and property holds so many memories that are irreplaceable, but still was a home to my dad, my uncle, my brother, his small family and their 4 dogs, 1 cat and chickens. This was home to myself and my 5 other siblings growing up. It continued to be a gathering spot even after each of us moved out. But at the end of the day, this was truly home to us. This home had been open to any family or close friends that needed a place to stay.
The Quabner property has also been rooted in this small town and has been generationally home to many relatives and close friends. My mother-in-law, Misty, her children and their families, lived in their home. They also had many pets, including dogs, cats, pigs, horses and chickens that Misty's grandchild, Bella, loved to play with. This family also opened their arms to anyone that needed anything.
Both families had less than 30 minutes to grab what they could, which was barely more than the clothes on their backs. Necessary vehicles for families and sentimental items such as photos, had to be left behind because there was not enough time. This included multiple vehicles passed down from family members who passed. Some pets were rescued, but not all.
While we are very thankful that everyone made it safely, some things that were lost in this fire cannot be replaced. If you could simply share this GoFundMe or give any donation it would be more than appreciated. This means the world to us. ♥️
