- On January 5th, Harley Garrett, a South Chicago Heights resident and Operating Engineer for Local 150, was involved in a horrific car accident. He has bruising and lacerations from head to toe, eight broken ribs on his left side, his left hand is broken, left shoulder(scapula) fractured and one of his shins(right side) is shattered, he had surgery today to try to repair it. His lung also collapsed. He had to be resuscitated on site. Harley was transferred to the trauma center where they are currently addressing his injuries. Harley is a provider and loving husband to Jen and their five children (school district 194). As you can imagine this is going to be a long hard recovery. In an effort to help ease their hardship, this fund has been created to assist the Garrett family during this difficult time.
