On December 30th, Tim and Amy Forslund lost their home of over 20 years to the Marshall Fire. This was a home where they raised their three children: Brandon, Alexa, and Casey. To them, this home held many memories that came along with pictures and photo albums, and furniture and guns that had been handed down through generations, which are things that simply cannot be replaced.
Tim and Amy were out of state meeting their first grandchild when the fire swept through the area. Thankfully a good friend and neighbor spared just enough time to grab an envelope containing passports and birth certificates. However, nothing of sentimental value was able to be saved and Tim and Amy are still trying to process how they'll return tomorrow (1/3/22) without anything to come back to.
Their immediate needs will be replacing clothing and other essential items until they are able to make a plan for next steps. For now, they have reserved an AirBnB for a week while they try to come up with a longer term plan. Tim works from home and will need to figure out where to setup his workspace for next week.
A lot of people have asked how they can support the Forslund's, and for now we believe the best help would be through funds that they can use to make themselves comfortable however they best see fit during this difficult time.
Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and donations if you're able.
