Help Us Survive the COVID-19 Pandemic!

Since 2011, the Chicago School of Shoemaking has been passionate about creating fulfilling experiences by helping those that enter our studio learn how to turn a creative idea into a tangible product, develop a sustainable business working with leather or find purpose by doing meaningful work with their hands. As a result, our community of artisans, hobbyist, entrepreneurs and tradesfolks has grown beyond 10,000 and it inspires us when we see what these impressive folks have been able to do!

However, the current COVID-19 pandemic has created a temporary reality filled with uncertainty because in an abundance of caution and an effort to do our part to slow and stop the spread of the virus, we have had to cancel all classes starting on March 15th.

While we are not sure when we will again be able to welcome students with open arms (tentatively early May), our team has been diligently working to support our community in safe ways by creating projects and kits that will keep the creative juices flowing while everyone's confined at home.

However, we need your help to keep the lights on and the bills paid until things return to 'normal'. and we can once again start holding our regular classes and working with you, our AWESOME artisans!!!!

Please take a moment to leave a comment about how your life has been impacted by the school and please share this with everyone in your network!

Anything you can do to help us make it through this will be immensely appreciated.
