Help support PJ and his battle with liver failure
Donation protected
Hi, my name is James Blankenberg, but most people know me as PJ.
I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this, but life has thrown some unexpected challenges my way — and now, I don’t have much of a choice.
A couple of months ago, I started experiencing some concerning symptoms, including passing blood. After undergoing a full medical workup, I received some difficult news. Doctors discovered that my liver is about twice the size it should be, and I’ve been diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease with stenosis, which has progressed to stage one liver failure.
That alone would be a lot to process, but during the same CT scan, they also found tumors on my adrenal gland. We’re still waiting on more information, but so far, the prognosis is cautiously optimistic. That said, this has turned my life upside down.
I’ve been really sick and have had to take time off work for tests, appointments, and recovery. Some of the medications I need aren’t fully covered, and the out-of-pocket costs are adding up fast. We’re doing everything we can to stay afloat, but it's getting harder each day.
Kayla, is working, but her paycheck is being garnished due to a past medical bill, and that’s added even more pressure. We’re trying to keep up with rent and utilities while managing all these medical expenses, and it's just become too much to handle alone.
So here I am, humbly asking for help — whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this campaign. Every bit makes a difference and brings us closer to stability during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you’re able to give.
