Help us bring Words Do Hurt to more children

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported and heard.

After Thomas experienced bullying himself, he and his sister Catherine created Words Do Hurt to help other children. Together, they’ve created a four-week anti-bullying programme for primary schools, built around Thomas’s story.

For every £200 donated, we will provide a school with a complete classroom pack, including 30 books, the full teacher pack and postage. We hope to support schools in our supporters’ local areas wherever possible.

Donations will support both the school programme and Thomas’s racing costs. His race car carries the Words Do Hurt message, helping us share the campaign at race events and beyond. A printing partner supports the campaign, helping make this model possible.

You don’t need to give £200 yourself. A donation of just £5 can help us reach the next classroom, and every contribution makes a difference.

Why our target will keep changing

We’ll start with a target of £200 for one classroom. When we reach it, we’ll increase the target to £400 for the next classroom, then £600, and so on.

We’ll move the target up by £200 at each milestone so we can keep reaching more children. We’ll share updates on our progress along the way.

Helping children in hospital

For every ten classroom packs provided, we’ll also donate a set of 30 copies of Thomas’s book to a children’s hospital ward.

Join our supporters’ teapot

We’ll create a supporters’ page on our website, where you can follow our progress. With your permission, we’ll add your first name and surname initial to our teapot. You can also choose to remain anonymous.
